My DIL had to go to Australia for part of her school degree and attend a poultry conference over there. So my son decided it was a great opportunity for him to get to go also since he would only have to pay for his plane ticket, the school was taking care of her expenses. They were gone for 2 weeks and got some really nice pictures. Some of my favs I am posting here.

My Kids Left for Australia

My son and daughter in law left this evening for 2 weeks in Australia. She had to go for part of school where she is getting her PHD. So the school is paying for her to go. My son just had to buy his ticket and come up with some extra spending money. They both figured if he didn't go with her while her way was paid they would probably never get another chance to go. I talked to them when they were leaving the Atlanta Airport for LA. There they have a 3 hr layover then get on the plane for Australia. They will loose Sunday cause when they get there with the time difference it will be 7am Monday morning Aussie time. I told them I wanted lots of pictures of Kangaroos and Koala Bears and stuff!! I just pray they will have a safe trip there and back. We have it set up where we can actually talk over the computer, kind of like skype but another program my son uses when he plays WOW (World of Warcraft, I think it is.)



Tomorrow d/h and I are going to go out for breakfast and then head up to Williamsburg to the outlet mall and the antique mall there. Taking the doggers too since they can ride in their little cart and go in both places. Heres a pic of them in their cart from Vacation back in Feb.

My Company is gone!

Had my DIL here since Wednesday, my son was not able to come. She was here for her little sisters graduation. Her mom had found them the cutest little kitten that came into the spca where she works. Just what they need another cat, they already have 3 plus 2 dogs but couldn't turn down this little cutie. My pups played alot with her but now she has to go to Alabama to their house and meet the big yellow lab and the bulldog...that should have been interesting last night. We took her to the airport with kitty in her little carrier that she could take on the plane with her. Shes a real cutie!

Rest In Peace Sweet Baby Dog

I knew it was time but I didn't want to let go. My heart is still very heavy this morning and its so quiet not hearing him bark when a strange car comes down the street or there is something out of the ordinary going on. No more pain, no more suffering...I had to do that one last thing for him and let him go. It hurts so bad.

103 temps ~ already sick of it!

Its been just horribly hot here and even hotter this weekend we spent in Charlotte, NC. Heat index was 108 today and more of it for tomorrow. Seems too early in June to be having these kinds of temps.

Enjoyed out little weekend trip down to Charlotte, NC. My son and his wife met us up there from Alabama and we spent the weekend at a hotel there. Went antiquing but didn't find much of anything. Seems to get harder and harder to find good stuff. D/H treated both me and our daughter in law to new purses when we stopped by an outlet mall. Hers is a Coach and mine is a Dooney. We sure enjoyed seeing the kids but it just went by too fast and wasn't long enough!! Here are a couple of pics from the weekend!

Dog Groomers n pedicures

It was "spa" day for the doggies and me. While they were at the groomers getting pretty, I treated myself to a pedicure...long over due...I really love getting them and I am not going to wait so far in between them anymore!! Anyway...have some new pics of the doggies to show off...will spare you pics of my pretty toes! LOL

My Favorite Tree

I have always loved the weeping willow trees. We had one when I was a kid but they planted too many trees for the size of the front yard and that one was so close to the house and got so big they had to have it removed. So finally I decided I wanted to get one for my yard. We planted this alittle over 10 years ago and it was just a spindly little thing. It has grown into a huge gorgeous tree and thankfully we planted it away from the house so it can get as huge as it wants to!!

Since I had my camera out I had to get a couple pic of my doggies. Megan didn't even wake up from sleeping under my desk. Marley and Morgan...you can't sneak nothing by those two!
